(1942) This building was designed by the U.S. Engineers Office.32 Originally a Mess Hall and Kitchen for the Army and one of the support buildings for the Reception Center as discussed in the overview, it was acquired by the University of Utah in 1947 and began its University life by housing Chemical Engineering and Architecture in 1949-50.4, 7, 10, 26, 31 9-28-49 This building housed Chemical Engineering and Air Science in 1959.10, 29 In 1977-78 stores & receiving was temporarily moved to Building 50.26 It was back to being Stores & Receiving in 1985 and has remained so since then.4, 18
