Radiopharmacy/Radiology (1942)

Photograph of Radiopharmacy/Radiology. This building was originally a barrack for 63 men for the Army and one of the support buildings for the Separation Center as discussed in the overview.7 Acquired in 1947, its first use by the University of Utah was as a dormitory.10 It appears that this building was one of four barracks from Fort Douglas that was used to house male students starting in 1947.6 Before its move in 1959, it was a vocational rehabilitation center for the University of Utah. It was moved from the west corner of "The Church Triangle," south of the Jon Huntsman Special Events Center, to its current site.26 In 1976, and probably for some time prior, it was the Neurology / Radiopharmacy building and remained so until at least 1985.7, 18, 25, 26
